RESIZING YOUR BEAUTY CONTEST ENTRY TUTORIALThe beauty contest is an art contest in which you draw a picture of one of your neopets and enter it.
Each contest lasts one week, it starts every Friday around 4:15NST. Members will then vote for which ever entry they like the most from each species.
If you want to have a good chance at winning, it's important to have a good picture! Usually people won't vote for a 5 minute scribble or a C&P
a C&P is an original image that is copied and pasted into an art program such as MS paint and edited.

Instead, if you're looking to win, you should hand draw you own picture. Why not try drawing on paper and coloring your picture with colored pencils, then scanning it in. Or, as most people do, you can draw your picture on the computer.
Some programs you can use to draw include
Microsoft Paint-Most computers come with MS paint. It's a very basic program and takes a lot of hard work to make a decent picture.
Adobe Photoshop-Photoshop is a very popular program that a lot of artists use. It's one of the best art programs out there, but is very pricy.
Paint Shop Pro-PSP is more advanced then paint but not nearly as efficient as photoshop.
Once your picture if completed, it's now time to enter the contest!
Usually, a good picture can get votes on its own, but you may want to consider advertising your entry.
You can put a link to your entry in your lookup, shop, guild, or even neomail your friends to vote for your pet (though they might get annoyed after a while)
You can also advertise in the Beauty Contest board. (Boards>>Beauty Contest) The BC boards is where many of the artists in the Beauty Contest go to advertise their entries, hoping to get more votes.
REMEMBER, VOTE TRADING IS ILLEGAL AND CAN GET YOU FROZEN.
After the week is up, go back to the beauty contest page and see how you did!
The prizes for winning aren't that great, unless you win overall, but your pet will get a shiney new trophy.
